Term 4 Week 2 Diary Writing
My Spectacular Weekend
By Ruby
In the weekend first Mila and I went to International Gymnastics. It was hard because I had just moved up to International, but I managed to do it. Then Dad came to pick me up. Next we picked up Abbie and Jessie and then we went to my house and we had lunch. We had sausage rolls - giant ones by the way. Then we went to a six hour mountain bike ride but we did not get to see mum ride because Dad was too late. We played a memory game while we were waiting to go to the bike ride.
The next day we went to the beach with Pip and her kids, Bridget and her kids and Justine and her kids. We made a sand castle and a pool for Olive; she is two. We also went in Riley's boat. It was bumpy! Then we went home. I got a fun job; it was to clean the wet suits in a bucket. After the bucket was filled with water, I started to put my foot in the water and swooshed the wet suits around. Then I started to water the garden. Well, I was swooshing the wet suits then I saw a butterfly. It flew quite close to me, so I put my finger out. I was doing three things at the same time! I loved my weekend.
My Flying Dream
By Holly
Clip clop clip clop I heard when I was asleep. I got to my knees shivering with fear as I lifted the curtain. But when I saw what was out there I felt safe. I could hardly see it so i grabbed my torch from my bed side. When I shone the light on the creature i saw it - it was crystal clear. I could see it was a unicorn with wings. I quickly undid he latch on my window and jumped onto her back and we flew into the air. I asked what her name was and she said, "Pinky." We flew home again and then I heard a voice calling, "Holly, wakey wakey", and I realised it was only a dream.
Term 3 Space Narratives
Little Red Space Hood
by Noah
In a land far, far, away, there lived a young girl. Wait! What? This is the wrong location. Now, let's restart.
In a galaxy far, far, away, there was a girl that lived in a space shuttle. Can you believe it? She lived with her mum, Astromum, oh and by the way the girls name is Little Red Space Hood. Any way, she was on a mission to give Gravity Gran cookies. Gravity Gran was on Earth so it would take some time to get there. So they got ready and by a flick and a kick they wheeshed away. But on the way there they noticed something strange was chasing them. Let me introduce the Big Bad Astronaut wolf, and he was chasing Little Red Space Hood. Luckily, she landed safely, but did the wolf? Nope! He crashed. "Oh man!" said the wolf. The wolf saw Little Red Space Hood skipping away, then he licked his lips and scampered off. Hmmm, Where would the wolf be going? Meanwhile Little Red SPace Hood had already arrived but Gravity Gran was acting strange. Suddenly a sheep came in and Grandma jumped on the sheep!
"Ah ha! You're not Gran you're the Big Bad Astronaut Wolf!" exclaimed Little Red Space Hood.
"What are you saying? No, no," cried the Wolf. Then a policeman walked in. "Noooooo! I don't want to go to jail," wailed the wolf.
But where was Gravity Gran? Oh, she was safe in space eating moon cheese. They all lived happily ever after, except the jailbird - technically a jailwolf.

One hot Sunday I watched a long movie. It was a very funny movie called Sea Life. I watched it at home while I was playing with my lego. When the movie was finished I felt incredibly dizzy. So after that I sat down.

This is a magical piece of recount writing because it contains the when, who, where and what. Holly has included adjectives and details to help paint a picture for the reader and used some wow vocabulary and a great connective. Well done Holly.
